There are pros and cons for each option. The fast boat has several departing harbours, making it easy for making it easy for you to choose a convenient location for your journey. The ferry on the other hand is a much cheaper option, but there is only one departing port from Bali (Padangbai) and one arrival port in Lombok (Lembar) and the travel time is (usually) longer. Taking the flight is a fast and convenient option, but also the most expensive way to travel.

Essentially, the best option for you depends on your preferences- whether you prioritize convenience, cost, or speed. Read on to explore each option in detail and find the one that suits your needs.

1. Fast boat

Fast boats are one of the most popular and common ways to travel between Bali and Lombok, offering a combination of speed and convenience.

  • Price: Mid. Around IDR 250,000 - 500,000 (USD 15 - 30) one-way

  • Cons: More expensive than boats and ferries, additional time for airport procedures (check-in, security, etc.), and limited luggage allowances on budget airlines
